Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatiana Tarasova told that Olympic silver medalist Alexandra Trusova is recovering and enjoying her training.
Earlier, Trusova said she plans to take part in the Russian national team’s skating tests, which will take place on September 14-15 in St. Petersburg.
Tarasova visited the Evgeni Plushenko Academy on Tuesday.
“I was glad to see Sasha Trusova: she is recovering her jumps and with her elements she looks like a strong girl. She hasn’t performed for a long time and I haven’t seen her for a long time. If she copes and Zhenya helps her, it will be very good for our figure skating. Sasha is recovering, jumping and enjoying training,” Tarasova told .
The 20-year-old figure skater last competed in 2022; she missed the 2023/24 season entirely. Trusova is a silver medalist at the Beijing Olympics and a medalist at the World and European Championships.
