Olympic cross-country skiing champion Veronique Stepanova said she was amused by the process of choosing the capital of the 2030 Winter Games.
Previously, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had proposed choosing the French Alps as the site of the 2030 Olympic Games. However, France has not yet given financial guarantees for the competition.

The host city for the 2030 Games will be announced on 24 July at the 142nd IOC Session in Paris.
