Arina Surkova failed to break the Russian record in the 50-meter butterfly distance in a separate heat, held as part of the final of the Russian Long Course Swimming Cup (50 m).
The competitions took place in Yekaterinburg. Surkova covered the distance in 25.74 seconds, without breaking the record.
The Russian record for the women’s 50m butterfly in the long course is 25:30. It was set by Surkova in April 2023 in Kazan.
