Minaj beat Epicenter in a goal-scoring thriller with a red card and advanced to the final of the “tournament of four” for a place in the UPL

In the decisive match, Zeljko Ljubenovic’s team will face Left Bank

Minay beat in a goal-scoring thriller Epicenter in the semi-finals “tournament of four” for a vacant position in Ukrainian Premier League 2024/25 — 3:3, 5:4 on penalties.

Serhiy Nagornyak’s team scored a quick goal, Nikolay Mironyuk distinguished himself. Minaj equalized seven minutes later, the goal was scored by Vladislav Vakula.

In the second half, the Transcarpathians took the lead thanks to a goal by Dmytro Prykhna. Epicenter responded with two goals of its own – Ivan Bendera, who came on as a substitute five minutes earlier, and Danylo Kravchuk.

However, at the end of the match, Mironyuk, who had a goal and an assist to his credit, earned a red card. Minaj immediately played a penalty kick, which ended with a goal by Artur Remenyak.

As in the first semi-final, the winner was determined in a penalty shootout. Epicenter midfielder Vitaliy Ravlik hit the post, the other players converted their attempts.

In the final, Zeljko Ljubenovic’s team will play against Left Bank, who had previously beaten Metalist 1925 on penalties. The decisive match of the mini-tournament is scheduled for July 30.
