Earlier, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) Anti-Doping Disciplinary Committee disqualified Zhigalov for two years. The athlete’s sample, which he collected on May 26, 2022, contained 5-methylhexane-2-amine (1,4-dimethylpentylamine). The swimmer’s suspension expired in May 2024.
