The fight ended in 40 seconds
Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin (27-2, 15 KO) easily knocked out the Nigerian Onoriode Ehvarime (20-5, 19 KO).
The Swede’s fight became the central event in the American Atlantic City at the Tropicana casino. Let us recall that the Nigerian heavyweight urgently replaced the Ghanaian Richard Lartey (16-6, 13 KO).
The fight lasted only 40 seconds. Already in the first round, Wallin delivered a powerful blow to the left, after which Ehwarime was knocked down. Onoriode got up, but immediately fell on the referee in the ring, who stopped the fight.
Before the face-to-face fight with Ehvarime, Wallin lost to former world champion Anthony Joshua. The Swede refused to continue the fight after the 5th round. After the fight, Otto was taken to the hospital due to a broken nose.
Ehwarime, 36, lost by knockout to American Deontay Pettigrew in April in his last fight. The defeat to Wallin was the Nigerian’s third in a row. Onoriode last won in February 2022.
