Belgian Evenepoel wins 2024 Olympics gold in road cycling time trial

Silver went to Italian Felipe Ganna, bronze went to another Belgian representative, Wout van Aert.

On Olympic Games 2024 In Paris, a set of medals was awarded in the men’s individual road cycling race.

Gold was won by Belgian Remco Evenepoel, who showed a result of 36.12.16. Silver went to Italian Felipe Ganna with a result of 36.27.08, and the bronze medal went to another representative of Belgium, Wout van Aert (result – 36.37.79).

This is the first Olympic medal for the 24-year-old Evenepoel. He has previously won five medals (two gold, one silver and two bronze) in individual and team races at the world championships.

Evenepoel also finished third in the 2024 Tour de France, which ended in July.

The 2024 Summer Olympics officially kicked off today and will end on August 11. A total of 329 sets of medals in 32 sports will be awarded at the competition.
