Japanese judoka Tsunoda becomes Olympic champion in Paris in the 48 kg category

Two bronze medals were won by the Frenchwoman Boukli and the Swedish Babulfat

On Olympic Games 2024 The women’s judo competition in the 48-kilogram category has ended in Paris. The gold medal in the final bout with Bavuudorzhiin Baasankhuu A Japanese woman won from Mongolia Natsumi Tsunoda.

There were also two “bronze fights” in this category. The medals went to the Frenchwoman Shirin Boukli, who managed to defeat the Spanish Laura Martinez, and also to Tara Babulfat from Sweden, who defeated Abiba Abuzhakynova from Kazakhstan with a crushing score.

Five Ukrainian judokas have been declared for the 2024 Olympic Games. Darya Bilodid (57 kg category) is the only representative of Ukraine who has previously taken part in the Olympics. At the Tokyo Games, the Ukrainian won bronze in the weight category up to 48 kilograms.

Dilshot Khalmatov, we recall, has already left the competition, having suffered a defeat from the representative of Kazakhstan Ildos Smetov (0:1) in the 1/8 finals in the weight category up to 60 kg.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
