Crime has increased on the streets of the city and during the opening ceremony people encountered homeless people and many rats. If you can’t organize an event at the proper level, then why bother?
“The state of the streets of Paris during the opening is a reflection of what is happening within the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic movement as a whole. And all this is symbolized by the inverted Olympic flag, the meaning of which is obvious,” Svishchev told TASS.
