Verniaev, Kovtun, Chepurny and Radivilov qualified for five individual artistic gymnastics finals at the 2024 Olympic Games

Earlier, the Ukrainian team made it to the team all-around finals

Ukrainian athletes managed to qualify for five individual finals artistic gymnastics on Olympic Games 2024.

Oleg Vernyaev took seventh place, and Ilya Kovrun — eleventh in the individual all-around qualification. Thus, both Ukrainians were included in the list of top-24 gymnasts who will compete for medals on Wednesday, July 31.

In addition, Kovtun qualified for the floor final from fourth place, and Verniaiev showed the fifth result in the selection of the pommel horse competition and will now represent Ukraine in the corresponding final. Both medal events will be held on Saturday, August 3.

Ilya and Oleg will also be represented in the parallel bars finals on August 5.

Successful performances of colleagues were supported Nazar Chepurny And Igor RadivilovThey both qualified for the vault finals (to be held on August 4), with Nazar coming in first place.

Let us recall that earlier the Ukrainian team consisting of Verniaev, Kovtun, Chepurny, Radivilov and Radomir Stelmakh reached the final of the team all-around. There our team will compete with seven other teams. The competition will take place on Monday, July 29, starting at 18:30.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
