Ukrainian came to Derek’s fight with Joe Joyce
British heavyweight Derek Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) spoke about how he was supported in the ring by the WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC heavyweight champion Alexander Usik.
“He was saying, ‘Move, move, move,’ but everyone was telling me to move. I wanted to move, but my legs didn’t want to move. They were saying, ‘No, f**king…'” Chisora said.
Usyk met Chisora in the ring in October 2020, winning by decision. The Ukrainian has maintained good relations with the British boxer since that fight.
Chisora defeated Joyce in a fight in London. Derek managed to knock Joe down in the ninth round. As a result, all three judges gave the victory to Chisora.
Derek had his first fight in a year, before that the Briton defeated Gerald Washington in August 2023. Joyce suffered his third defeat in his last four fights.
