Ukrainian swimmer Alexander Zheltyakov failed to reach the semi-finals in swimming 100 meters backstroke on Olympics 2024.
Zheltyakov took second place in his heat in the preliminary competition, showing a result of 54.32 seconds. As a result, the Ukrainian took 24th place in the selection. 16 athletes made it to the semifinals.
The 18-year-old swimmer will later compete in the 200m backstroke. The qualifying round for that event will be held on July 31.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
