Usyk will personally pay prize money to Ukrainian boxers for medals at the 2024 Olympics

Alexander promised 80 thousand dollars for gold, 70 for silver and 50 for bronze.

WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Usik promised to pay prize money from his own pocket to Ukrainian boxers for medals Olympic Games 2024.

It is reported that before the start of the Games in Paris, Usyk handed out envelopes with prizes to his compatriots, participants of the Olympics, and promised to personally pay the prize money for each medal won. Namely: 80 thousand dollars for a gold medal, 70 for a silver medal and 50 for a bronze medal.

Ukraine will be represented at the Olympics in Paris by three Ukrainian boxers: Alexander Khizhnyak, Dmitry Lovchinsky and Ayder Abduraimov.

Let us recall that the official prize money from the NOC of Ukraine for the awards of the Paris Olympics is: 125 thousand dollars for a gold medal, 100 thousand for silver, 80 thousand for bronze.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
