Ukrainian Bugrova loses to Indonesian Tunjang in Group G match at 2024 Olympic Badminton Games

Polina’s next match will be against Czech Svabikova on July 30

Ukrainian badminton player Polina Bugrova lost in her opening match at Olympics 2024 in Paris. The Ukrainian lost in two sets Gregory Mariske Tunjang from Indonesia.

In the first set, the Indonesian was clearly stronger than her opponent – 21:10. In the second, Polina managed to put up a fight, but still lost with a score of 15:21.

This is not the end of Bugrova’s performance at the 2024 Olympics. In her next Group G match, she will face Tereza Svabikova from the Czech Republic.

Let us recall that Polina Bugrova received an Olympic license in May 2024 as the best among Ukrainians in the world rankings.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
