Brazilian swimmer expelled from Paris Olympic delegation for breach of discipline

The Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) has excluded swimmer Ana Carolina Vieira from the delegation for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the COB press service reports.

On Friday, Vieira and her compatriot Gabriel Santos left the Olympic Village in Paris without permission. Both athletes received warnings, but Ana Carolina contested the decision in a disrespectful and aggressive manner, which led to her being excluded from the delegation.

It is worth noting that she was immediately sent back to Brazil.

The Paris Olympics will last until August 11, Russian athletes will compete in neutral status without national symbols.
