Daniil Medvedev answered the question whether he was satisfied with the decision to refuse to live in the Olympic Village at the 2024 Games

Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev answered a question about the refusal to live in the Olympic Village during the 2024 Games in Paris.

Medvedev and Roman Safiullin lost in the first round of the Olympic doubles tournament to Germans Kevin Kravitz and Tim Puetz on Sunday. The tennis players spent 1 hour and 5 minutes on the court, the Russians lost in two sets – 4:6, 4:6.

— Are you satisfied with your decision to leave the Olympic Village?

— When I make decisions, even if they are bad, next time I will do it differently. So I am probably happy.

— Kotov said that because of their neutral status, they don’t allow changing the insignia?

— At the first Olympics, when I played in Tokyo, I exchanged badges a lot. But after the Olympics, when I lost, I lay there after the quarterfinals and thought: “Why the hell do I need these badges? So even if there were now, I would not get them back,” the correspondent reports, reporting Medvedev’s words.

In the next round, the Germans will face the winners of the match between the pairs Rohan Bopanna/Sriram Balaji (India) – Edouard Roger-Vasselin/Gael Monfils (France).
