According to the coach, the adaptation of newcomers is also going well
Head coach Krivbassa Yuri Vernidub commented on the results of the team’s summer training camp in Slovenia.
“The mood is working. We had a very good, powerful training camp, played good sparring. We returned home and gave the guys a few days to rest. Now we are starting to prepare for the match with Chernomorets.”
“I see that the team is in a fighting mood, everyone is ready for the first matches of the new season. But there is still almost a week of preparation ahead, we will work.”
“As for the newcomers, there are no problems with the Ukrainians, it is a bit more difficult with the legionnaires, but they are gradually integrating into the team, the adaptation is going well. Moreover, they are all young, so there should be no problems. I really count on all the newcomers. Yes, I understand that it will not be easy for them to quickly integrate into our game, it will take time. I expect that they will help Kryvbas in the new season and in the future.”
Kryvbas finished the training camp in Slovenia with a defeat to Rizespor (3:4). Before that, Vernidub’s team defeated Dinamo Bucharest and Dinamo Zagreb, and also drew with Young Boys, Sabah and Al-Bataeh.
Kryvbas took third place in the UPL last season. In the first round of the 2024/25 UPL, the Kryvyi Rih team will play against Chornomorets on August 3. On August 8, Yuriy Vernydub’s team will have their first match against Viktoria Plzen in the third round of the Europa League qualification.
