The Danish club will have the right to buy the player
Defender Shakhtar Georgi Gocholeishvili switched to Danish Copenhagen on loan. The agreement is valid until the end of the 2024/25 season, and the Danish club will have the right to buy the player.
It was previously reported that the 23-year-old footballer was of interest to German Hamburg. At Shakhtar, Gocholeishvili could hardly count on a sufficient amount of playing time, given the presence of Efim Konoplya and the return of Vinicius Tobias from loan.
Georgi is a product of the Georgian club Saburtalo. In January 2023, he moved to Shakhtar, signing a five-year contract.
He had three assists in 24 games for Shakhtar last season. The 23-year-old defender played eight games for the Georgian national team.
Shakhtar became the champion of Ukraine. The miners will play in the general round of the Champions League in the new season.
After two championship years, Copenhagen lost the title to Midtjylland last season. The capital club started the new Danish Super League with two victories.
