Ukrainian loses to Japanese Haruka Funakubo
Ukrainian judoka Daria Beloded lost in 1/8 finals in the category up to 57 kilograms Olympics 2024.
Darya confidently passed the first round, easily defeating Neru Tiebwa from Kiribati. In the 1/8 finals, the Ukrainian met Haruko Funakubo from Japan. Darya earned three “shido” and eventually lost.
Beloded is a bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and a two-time world champion in the 48 kg category. In the 57 kg division, Darya won the 2024 European Championship in Zagreb.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
