The Olympic organizing committee later apologized to anyone who may have been offended by some scenes in the ceremony.

“I agree with all the main opinions. There were a lot of ridiculous overlays that did not decorate the ceremony, it spoiled the impression.

It is no coincidence that the IOC has apologized, a rare case of an apology for the opening ceremony.

“Many people were offended, especially religious people. I think it didn’t go very well, or even unsuccessfully,” Mishina is quoted as saying by Match TV.
