Athletistic/Figure skating. Two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva, in an interview with Sport24 correspondent Konstantin Lesik, criticized the new five-jump evaluation system introduced by the International Skating Union (ISU).

Under the new system, each type of five jumps, except the five axes, received a base value of 14 points.

Medvedeva considers this innovation frivolous. According to her, the federation creates obstacles to complicate the program, since the difference in points between a quadruple and a quadruple jump is only three points. “It turns out that it is better to focus on choreography to earn these three points at the second evaluation. The ISU chose this path. Well, good luck to them,” she said.
