The Group A match ended 3-0 (25:20, 25:21, 25:17). In all three sets, 2020 Olympic champion Zhenya Grebennikov, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg, played the role of libero for the French team.
The French team won its second victory in the tournament; the team is in second place in the standings, behind Slovenia in terms of additional indicators. Canada comes in last place. Another member of the quartet is the Serbian team.
