Ahead of the start of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the Palestinian National Olympic Committee appealed to IOC President Thomas Bach, asking him to ban Israeli athletes from participating in the Games in the French capital. However, this request was ignored by the IOC leadership.
It should be noted that athletes from Russia and Belarus, by the will of the IOC, are suspended from organized participation in international competitions. 15 Russians will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and will do so in individual neutral status.
