Ukrainian woman gives negative assessment of her work in Paris
Ukrainian Joan Fabe Bejura commented on the final result of the Ukrainian national team in the team epee competition at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
“Emotions from the Olympics? I don’t know, I need to rest and then collect my thoughts. I need to rest from everything.”
“Such fencing, such is the result. How do I rate my performance? I don’t know by 30%. What prevented me from showing more? We will analyze it with the coaches after the competition. Maybe because of the personal competition I am upset, I don’t know.”
The Ukrainian women’s epee fencing team took sixth place in the team competition at the 2024 Olympics. The blue-yellows lost to China in the quarterfinals (41:45). The Ukrainian team then went to the lower bracket to fight for 5th-8th places.
The Ukrainian women confidently dealt with the Egyptian team (45:31). In the match for fifth place, the Ukrainian team lost to the South Korean team – 38:45. The Ukrainian women won two of nine individual fights in the match with the Koreans.
