Maguchy won silver at the Diamond League stage in Poland, Tabashnik won bronze

Gerashchenko and Levchenko – off the pedestal

Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslav Maguchy became the silver medalist of the stage Diamond League in Polish Chorzow.

Maguchyh took second place with a score of 1.92 meters. The winner of the tournament was the representative of Uzbekistan Safina Sadullaeva, who outstripped Yaroslav due to fewer attempts at a height of 1.92 m.

It should be noted that Sadullayeva could not take the height of 1.95 m from three attempts. Yaroslava did not submit to the bar at a height of 1.98 m.

Bronze stage in Poland won Ekaterina Tabashnik (1.88 m). This is the first medal for the 28-year-old Ukrainian at the Diamond League level.

Two more representatives of Ukraine – Irina Gerashchenko (1.88 m) and Julia Levchenko (1.84 m) – took sixth and ninth places, respectively.

Yaroslava has won the Diamond League three times this season. She won silver at the last World Championships in Eugene, USA.

Irina Gerashchenko was twice second and once third at the Diamond League stages this season. Levchenko won silver in Stockholm and bronze in Paris.

The tournament in Poland replaced the stages of the Diamond League in China, which were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
