Eight-time Olympic swimming champion Katie Ledecky has announced her desire to compete in the 2028 Games, which will be held in Los Angeles, USA.
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old American won the 1,500-meter freestyle at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Ledecky came close to the record set by Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, who won nine gold medals during her career.
“I would like to perform in Los Angeles, I have already spoken about it, nothing has changed. I do not feel like I am about to end my sports career. And when I see the performances of French swimmers at home now, I also want to feel such support at the Olympic Games at home,” reports the correspondent, according to Ledecky’s words.
The Olympic Games in the French capital will end on August 11.
