Ukrainians win hard-fought victory over US’s Danielle Collins and Desiree Krawczyk
Ukrainian tennis players Ludmila And Nadezhda Kichenok reached the quarterfinals of the women’s doubles Olympics 2024.
The Ukrainians met with the tournament’s fourth seeds Daniel Collins And Desiree Krawczyk from the USA. The sisters managed to win a strong-willed victory, spending one hour and 39 minutes on the match.
In the first set, Collins and Kravchik made one break, which was enough to win the game. In the second set, the Ukrainians managed to take two of their opponents’ serves, losing one of their own. In the super tie-break, Nadezhda and Lyudmyla took the lead and closed the match with the third match point.
Let us recall that in the first round the Kichenok sisters confidently defeated the Chinese Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai. In the quarterfinals, their opponents will be Christina Buksha and Sara Sorribes Tormo from Spain.
