Pan Zhanle covered the distance in 46.4 seconds. The 19-year-old athlete improved by 0.4 seconds his own world record, set in February at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The silver medal was won by Australia’s Kyle Chalmers (+1.08) and Romania’s David Popovic (+1.09) took bronze.
The Olympic Games in the French capital will end on August 11.
