Chinese swimmer Pan Zhangye triumphed in final swim on 100 meters freestyle among men on Olympics 2024.
Zhangye finished with a time of 46.40 seconds, setting a new world record. Pan beat his own record by four tenths of a second. It should be noted that the Chinese also holds the Olympic record (46.92).
Australian Kyle Chalmers came in second. Romanian David Popovici came in third, while Hungarian Nandor Nemeth missed out on the medals. It is noteworthy that the gap between these three swimmers was only 0.1 sec.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
