Athletistic / Tennis. The winner of the BRICS Games in Kazan, member of the Russian boxing team Azalia Amineva, said that the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to admit to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris boxers previously suspended for hormonal disorders is a fraud.
“I practically do not remember my fight with Khelif, my career is developing further. But I remember that then the Algerian actually cheated, thanks to the iIBA and gender tests, she was stopped in time. Unfortunately, some representatives of boxing did not give in to attempts to circumvent the current admission rules.
“I am glad that IBA always stands in their way, leaving them no chance to gain an unfair advantage. It is a pity that the IOC is not listening to common sense now. I never wish anyone harm, but I believe that attempts at fraud in sports are unacceptable,” Amineva said according to TASS.
- See it for yourself. Russia has announced a boycott of the Paris Olympics.
Algerian Iman Khelif and Lin Yuting of Team Taiwan have been cleared by the IOC to compete in women’s boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games. These athletes were disqualified from the 2023 World Cup in New Delhi (India) after failing gender tests. At the World Championship, Khelif was removed from the competition in the weight category up to 66 kg and Lin Yuting was deprived of bronze in the weight category up to 57 kg. Through gender tests, it was proven that they have XY chromosomes, which proves that they are male.
Note that Azalia Amineva lost to Iman Khelif in the 1/8 finals of the 2023 World Cup.
