Athletistic / Olympic Games. Natural disasters are changing the schedule for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. On August 1, the men’s race walking competition started late due to weather conditions.
The athletes started the 20-kilometer distance at 9:00 Moscow time, while the competition was originally scheduled to start at 8:20 Moscow time. It is worth noting that the race walking competition opens the athletics program of the Olympic Games in the French capital.

Traditionally, swimming and athletics divide the Olympics in two: swimmers compete in the first half of the Games, then track and field athletes take over.
The Paris Olympics opened on July 26 and will end on August 11. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allowed only 15 Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
