Olympic high jump champion Maria Lasitskene told that she would not watch the athletics competitions at the Paris Olympics because it would bring her negative emotions.
The high jump competitions at the Paris Olympics will take place from August 2 to 4 (women) and from August 7 to 10 (men).
“I definitely won’t be able to watch athletics, it’s too painful for me. This idea that we could and should have been there is just another piece of salt in the wound. There have already been so many tears, so many misunderstandings… But now it’s already happened, it’s happened. And I don’t want to go back to that state. Today there are training sessions and tournaments in Russia. And I have to find the motivation, the desire to do the work here and now,” Lasitskene told .
The games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11. All Russian athletes will compete in a neutral status.
