Elena failed to qualify for any shooting event at the 2024 Olympics
Ukrainian Elena Kostevich failed to make it to the finals Olympic Games 2024 on shooting from small caliber pistol at a distance of 25 meters.
In the qualification, Kostevich scored 290 points, which was the 25th result – only the 8 best athletes made it to the final.
Earlier, Elena did not make it to the finals in the 10-meter air pistol shooting at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
For Kostevych, participation in the Games in Paris brought a historic achievement – Elena became the first athlete in the history of Ukraine to compete in six Olympics. Before that, Kostevych had been going to the Olympics since 2004.
Let us recall that Olena Kostevich is a four-time Olympic medalist. She won gold at the 2004 Olympics, two bronze medals at the 2012 Olympics, and also won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics.
Ukraine won two medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris — Sergey Kulish won silver in the 50-meter air rifle shooting competition, and Olga Harlan won a bronze medal in sabre fencing.
The 2024 Olympic Games will last until August 11. The competitions in Paris will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
