Great Britain wins gold in team jumping at 2024 Olympics

The top 3 also included the United States and France

National team Great Britain won the final team show jumping on Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.

The British trio of Ben Maher, Harry Charles and Scott Brash were awarded just two penalties over the entire distance – half as many as their closest pursuers, the USA team.

A heated battle for third place unfolded between France and the Netherlands. In the end, both teams received 7 penalty points, but the French covered the distance half a second faster (238.12 versus 238.69), which determined the fate of the bronze medals.

This is not the first gold medal in equestrian sports for Great Britain at the 2024 Olympics. Rosalind Canter, Tom McEwen and Laura Collett previously brought their country first place in team eventing.

The 2024 Olympic Games will last until August 11. The competitions in Paris will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
