Athletistic / Figure skating. The Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) responded to the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the result of the team championship at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing (China). The organization retained 3rd place for Russia.

Recall that the Russian team took 1st place, but after Kamila Valieva was disqualified for an anti-doping rule violation, the Russians dropped to 3rd place. The Canadian team tried to challenge the result in order to move from 4th to 3rd place, but the CAS sided with Russia.

“The FFKKR has been informed of the outcome of the CAS hearing on the appeal of the Canadian team for the review of the results of the team competition in figure skating at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. The FFKKR sincerely thanks all those who fought and defended the interests of our athletes, those who made every effort to resolve this case in favor of the Russian team, and those who supported and believed in our athletes. At the same time, the federation was and remains convinced that the Russian Olympic team was the strongest in Beijing and fully demonstrated all the strength of Russian figure skating,” a statement published on the FFKKR website said.
