Ambassadors of Argentina, Oman and Senegal attended the matches of the International Beach Soccer Cup in Moscow

Diplomatic representatives of Argentina, Oman and Senegal personally supported their countries’ teams at the Moscow International Beach Soccer Cup. The tournament that follows the Mundialito, the Club World Cup, is taking place in the Russian capital from August 1 to 4. The competition is organized by the Moscow Department of Sports with the support of Russian Railways (RZD). The organizer of the sports part is PFC Lokomotiv.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Russia Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, Deputy Head of Mission and Minister Plenipotentiary Diego Miguel DesmoresMinister Plenipotentiary Marta Luz Gonzalez Nieves and head of the cultural department of the embassy Virginie Iribarne attended the match of Lokomotiv Moscow against the Argentine club Boca Juniors. After the match, Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira and Diego Miguel Desmoures met with the president of PFC Lokomotiv Vitaly Pogodin and, during a friendly conversation, highlighted the high level of organization of the tournament.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman attended Al Amerat of Oman’s first round match against Boca Juniors Hamood Salim Abdullah Al Tuwaikh. And on the second day of the tournament, he attended Al Amerata’s match with the Kazakh club Malaysary.

The Senegalese team “Joff” during the first days of the tournament was supported in the stands by the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal in the Russian Federation Ndyaga Bay.

Eight teams from Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Iran, Oman, Senegal and Kazakhstan are battling for victory in the tournament. The group stage matches will take place from August 1 to 3, with the final matches taking place on Sunday, August 4.

The Moscow International Beach Soccer Cup is held on the territory of the Russian Railways Arena sports complex. Entrance for spectators is free.
