Beatriz Souza wins gold in women’s over 78kg category

On Olympic Games 2024 A set of medals was awarded in Paris judo in the weight category over 100 kg among men.

The legendary Frenchman won gold Teddy Riner. In the final, he defeated Kim Min Chung from South Korea by ippon, 10:0.

Riner, 35, is a three-time Olympic champion in the over 100 kg category. He won individual gold in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. Teddy also triumphed in Tokyo 2020 in the mixed team tournament.

It should be noted that Riner and three-time Olympic champion in the 200 and 400 m Marie-Josée Perec lit the Olympic flame at the official opening ceremony of the 2024 Games in Paris.

The bronze medalists in the over 100 kg category were Temur Rakhimov from Tajikistan and Alisher Yusupov from Uzbekistan.

Also at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris today a set of medals in judo was awarded weight category over 78 kg among women. The gold was won by a representative of Brazil Beatrice Souza, who defeated Israeli Raz Gershko in the final 1:0.

Bronze medals in this discipline were won by Kim Ha-yun from South Korea and Frenchwoman Romana Dikko.
