Russian cyclists will not participate in the Paris Paralympic Games

Russian Paralympic cycling team coach Ekaterina Mukhortova told that Russian cyclists will not compete at the Paris Paralympic Games.

Earlier, the press service of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) told that the organization’s executive committee had approved the composition of the delegation to the Paris Paralympic Games, which included 92 athletes.

— Today the executive committee met and our athletes are not on the list that was approved. We did not have quotas, we asked for invitations, but they were not confirmed to us, – Mukhortova, .

In September 2023, the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) suspended the RPC’s membership until further notice, but the Russians were allowed to participate in the Paris Paralympics in neutral status.

The Summer Paralympic Games will be held in the French capital from August 28 to September 8.
