Hungary’s Men’s Epee Fencing Team Wins 2024 Olympic Gold

The Czech team won bronze in the match against France

Hungary Men’s National Team won the team final fencing with swords on Olympic Games 2024.

The champion team was represented by Gergely Siklósi, Mate Tamas Koch, David Nagy and Tibor Andrasfy. They competed for the gold medals against Japan national team and in an equal fight they managed to snatch victory – 26:25. Before the last fight the Hungarians were leading 20:18, Koki Kano managed to transfer the confrontation into overtime, but there Shiklosi delivered the winning blow to his opponent.

The bronze medal at the Paris Olympics was won by epee fencers from Czech Republicwho managed to beat the French team on their away field – 43:41.

Let us recall that earlier, the Italian team triumphed in the women’s team epee fencing tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games. The Ukrainians lost to the Chinese team in the quarterfinal stage and ultimately took sixth place.

Ukraine won two medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris — Sergey Kulish won silver in the 50-meter air rifle shooting competition, and Olga Harlan won a bronze medal in sabre fencing.

The 2024 Olympic Games will end on August 11. The competitions in Paris will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
