Makhach and Siniakova from the Czech Republic became Olympic champions in Paris in tennis in mixed doubles

Olympic bronze medals were won by Canada’s Auger Aliassime and Dabrowski

The first final of the tennis tournament took place Olympic Games 2024 in Paris. Gold medals in mixte won by representatives of the Czech Republic Katerina Sinyakova And Tomas Machach.

In a tense match, the Czech duo, despite their status as favourites, only managed to break the resistance of the Chinese tandem Wang Xinyu / Zhang Zhizhen in a super tie-break – 6:2, 5:7, 10:8.

In the third place match, Felix Auger Aliassime and Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada needed two sets to defeat the Dutch pair Wesley Koolhof and Demi Schuurs. However, the latter put up a good fight, and the North Americans had to win the medals through a tiebreak in the second set.

Ukraine, however, was left without medals in tennis at the 2024 Olympics. The Kichenok sisters (in doubles) and Marta Kostyuk (in singles) were one step away from the semi-finals. Elina Svitolina left the tournament at the 1/8 final stage, Dayana Yastremska dropped out in the second round, and Angelina Kalinina was forced to withdraw from the competition due to illness.

On Saturday, August 3, the 2024 Olympic Games will host the finals in men’s doubles and women’s singles (between Zheng Qingwen and Donna Vekic) categories. The decisive matches in women’s duets and the men’s singles draw (Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz) are scheduled for the next day.
