Azerbaijan believes that the statements broadcast on the French state channel are aimed at politicizing the Olympic Games and are part of a smear campaign against the country. Baku therefore expects France to also formally apologize for its actions as the host country of the Olympic Games and demands that similar incidents not occur in the future.
