In the quarter-finals, the blue-yellows triumphed over Italy
Women’s national sabre fencing team of Ukraine V 1/4 finals of team competitions on Olympic Games 2024 met with Italy.
The Ukrainian team performed in the following composition: Olga Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, Elena Kravatskaya And Julia Bakastova. The blue-yellows confidently led until the seventh match, where Kravatskaya lost her team’s advantage (4:10).
However, Alina Komashchuk and Olga Kharlan, who won their face-to-face encounters, returned everything to their places. The overall score of the meeting was 45:37.
In the semi-finals, the Ukrainian team will face the winner of the Hungary-Japan match. The semi-final match is scheduled to start at 16:20 Kyiv time.
The Ukrainian team has won two medals at the Paris Games so far. Olga Harlan won a bronze medal in sabre fencing. Sergey Kulish won silver in the 50-meter air rifle three-position event. Another medal for Ukraine was guaranteed by a boxer Alexander Khizhnyak.
