Ammirati failed to clear the bar at a height of 5 meters and 70 centimeters.
In one of his attempts, he overturned the bar in a non-standard way: first, Ammirati touched the bar with his knees, then grabbed it with his genitals, after which it was finally overturned.
Other representatives of the French team – Thibaut Collet and Robin Emigh – also did not qualify.
The 2024 Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
