Athletistic/OI-2024. German cyclist Niels Politt went to the toilets at the Two Mills café during the group race at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the General-Anzeiger reports.
On the final lap, the athlete found himself at the famous establishment that became popular thanks to the film “Amélie.” Images posted online show Politt leaving the cafe with a broad smile while customers applaud and cheer.
Niels then resumed the race and finally finished in 70th place, almost 20 minutes behind the leader.
The Paris Olympics will end on August 11.
