The 2024/25 season will be the first for the Shichina/Drozd duo. The athletes teamed up this spring.
— Both programs are already ready, we are rolling them out now. Our coaching team was in charge of the production. Ksenia Gennadievna (Rumyantseva) and Ekaterina Valerievna (Volobueva) have always distinguished themselves with interesting productions. We did not go anywhere for the training camp, we skate on our own ice in an improved mode. A large amount of ice and various halls (ballroom and modern dancing, choreography, support). We work a lot on sliding, rolling, new programs, on everything in general. Very good positive atmosphere in the team. We are waiting for the new season, ”Drozd told .
Drozd, together with Elizaveta Shanaeva, became silver medalists of the Russian Championship and the final of the Russian Grand Prix 2023. Last season, the couple took 4th place at the Russian Championship and became fifth at the Spartakiad of the strongest. In March, the dance duo broke up.
Shichina, paired with Gordey Khubulov, took 9th place at the 2023 Russian Championship.
