Luzan and Rybachok reach semifinals in canoe 2-man 500m at 2024 Olympics

The Ukrainians took second place in their race

Ukrainians Ludmila Luzan And Anastasia Rybachok reached the semi-finals in rowing 500m double canoe on Olympics 2024 in Paris.

Ludmila and Anastasia showed a result of 1:55.88 and took second place in their race, losing only to the Chinese duo. It should be noted that in the second race, Canadians Sloane Mackenzie and Katie Vincent set a new Olympic record – 1:54.16.

The top two teams from each heat automatically advanced to the semifinals, with the remaining teams competing in the quarterfinals. The semifinal competition will continue later on Tuesday. The semifinal heats, as well as the final, will be held on August 9.

Earlier, the Ukrainian men’s team failed to advance directly to the semi-finals of the 2024 Olympics in the kayak fours at a distance of 500 meters. The blue and yellow will later compete in the quarter-finals.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
