The duo will try to advance to the next round via the quarter-finals
Ukrainians Oleg Kuharuk And Igor Trunov did not qualify directly for the semi-finals in rowing 500 meter double kayaks among men on Olympics 2024.
Kukharuk and Trunov took third place in their heat, showing a result of 1:31.24. The two best duets automatically advanced to the semifinals. The Ukrainians will then compete in the quarterfinals, where they will again try to get through to the next round.
The quarter-final heats will also take place on Tuesday. The start is at 15:30 Kyiv time.
Let us recall that Kuharuk and Trunov previously competed in the 500-meter canoe four-man race as part of the Ukrainian national team. The Ukrainian four-man team will compete in the quarterfinals of this race on Tuesday.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
