Athletistic / Doping. In July, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) identified 13 more cases of possible anti-doping rule violations. More than 50 such incidents have already been recorded in 2024.

“In July 2024, RUSADA identified 13 cases of possible anti-doping rule violations. In just seven months of this year, we identified 52 violations: in February and January there were four each, in March – seven, in April – four, in May – six, in June – 14, in July – 13,” RUSADA quotes TASS as saying.

Note that compared to 2023, the number of possible anti-doping rule violations in Russia has decreased by 1.9 times. From January to July last year, 99 cases of possible anti-doping rule violations were discovered in the country.

Earlier, RUSADA General Director Veronika Loginova said that most often anabolic steroids, diuretics, masking agents and meldonium are found in athletes’ samples.

RUSADA has not yet regained its status of full compliance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code. However, many note that Russian sport is currently one of the cleanest in the world.
