Mikhavko, Pikhalenok and Kabaev in Dynamo’s starting lineup for the first match against Rangers in the 3rd round of the Champions League qualification

The meeting in Lublin, Poland, starts at 21:00 Kyiv time.

The starting lineup has been announced Dynamo for the first, formally home, match against the Scottish Rangers in the third round of qualification Champions League 2024/25.

Among others, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy sent defender Taras Mikhavko (he took the place of the injured Maksym Dyachuk) and new midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalyonok to the starting lineup, which is why Vitaliy Buyalsky had to move to the reserve.

In addition, two representatives of the left flank, Konstantin Vivcharenko and Vladislav Kabaev, have returned to their starting positions. Another summer newcomer, Maxim Bragaru, who returned from the 2024 Olympics, has been added to the bench.

Dynamo: Buschan – Karavaev, Popov, Dyachuk, Vivcharenko – Buyalsky, Brazhko, Shaparenko – Yarmolenko, Vanat, Kabaev

Stock: Neshcheret, Morgun, Voloshin, Lonveik, Andrievsky, Supryaga, Malysh, Ceballos, Diallo, Bilovar, Dubinchak, Pikhalenok

Let us recall that Dynamo opened the new season with a confrontation with Serbian Partizan in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The fight did not work out – two crushing victories (6:2, 3:0) brought Shovkovskiy’s team to Rangers.

Today’s match in Lublin will be refereed by Donatas Rumšas from Lithuania. His compatriots Aleksandrs Radiush and Dovydas Sužedelis will be assistant referees. Lithuanian Robertas Šmitas has been appointed reserve referee. The return match will take place in Glasgow a week later, on August 13.

If the Kyivans beat Rangers, they will face the winner of the Salzburg-Twente match in the playoff round for a place in the overall stage. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy’s team is competing in the League Path.
