Greek Tentoglou Becomes Two-Time Olympic Champion in Long Jump

Silver went to Pinnock from Jamaica, bronze went to Italian Furlani

On Olympic Games 2024 The men’s competition in Paris has ended jumping in length.

A Greek became Olympic champion for the second time in a row Miltiadis Tentoglou. His result is 8.48 m. In 2021, in Tokyo, he won gold with a jump of 8.41 m.

The silver medalist was Jamaican Wayne Pinnock (8.36 m). Bronze went to 19-year-old Italian Mattia Furlani (8.34 m).

It should be noted that the world record in long jump was set in 1991 by American Mike Powell – 8.95 m. The Olympic record of Bob Beamon from the USA has stood since 1968 – 8.90 m.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
